Vintage 1950’s Carpet Bag, believed to be Nubby Floral by Julius Resnick, in Cre

This gorgeous bohemian bag is circa 1950’s and showcases a creamy autumn floral of rich warm tones! This is the exact pattern of the super rare Nubby Floral Julius Resnick carpet bag, but the logo is not visible anywhere. Straps are a soft faux wine tone leather and contain stunning Brass hardware. The interior is a rich sateen fabric and consists of one large compartment and side zipper pouch! Label is Missing or undetectable and believed to be the handbag designer, Julius Resnick.

Julius made fashion history in the 1930s with faux leather bags made with Zapon, a high quality leather-like material. Making a name for himself in the fashion industry with his production of unusual, eye-catching handbags, in interesting shapes with attached coin purses. Popular JR handbag collections have a wide range of designs, but his embroidered carpet bags were some of his best known art!
